MNL48 Sayaka bids her bitter sweet good bye to her fans and co-members during her Sayonara mini live on June 9, 2019 at Movie Stars Café.
The announcement was made official after Sayaka had a surprise announcement of her departure last June 3, which made her co-idols speechless during their interactive Live, She explained that they’ve (she and her family) decided to officially leave the idol group to migrate to Japan.
The fans shed their tears when Sayaka shared the stage with her fellow members for the last time, emotionally performing the group’s hit tracks “Labrador Retriever”, “First Rabbit”, “365 Araw ng Eroplanong Papel”, “Talulot Ng Sakura”, “Aitakatta – Gustong Makita”, “145 Bou”, “Moroku Odoru”, and “Bokunote”.
Being proud as the team captain of Team MII, Alice shared that Sayaka contributed a lot in their team and in MNL48 especially with the idols to learn more about the Japanese culture. “From the very beginning super dedicated talaga siya sa ginagawa niya and super saya niya kasi gusto lang niya magpasaya ng tao. Nagpapasalamat kami kasi isa ka sa pinakamalakas sa Tram MII, sa pinakainner part ng kaniyang heart. Sobrang dami niyang naiambag sa group kasi super responsible and effort talaga siya sa lahat ng bagay. We will support you all the way, kasi once an MNL48 member, always an MNL48 member.”
Meanwhile, the group launched their seventh music video “Igai Ni Mango” starring Team L on their official YouTube page and made it to the no.1 Philippine Trends on Twitter. The group has prepared many more activities and events this June, so make sure to follow and subscribe to their social media accounts.
“Isa siya sa pinakasweet na girl sa MNL48, as in pati mga members Oshi na rin siya. Excited na kami sa mangyayari sa future plans mo sana maging successful ka,” Sheki said.
In addition, Sayaka is hoping that Team MII will have their own song in their upcoming single and encouraged them to always do their best. “Galingan niyo ha, makinig kayong mabuti sa mga Senpai niyo, wag kayo male-late and magpakatatag kayo. Sana next single meron na tayong kanta ha, kahit wala. Ibigay niyo lagi ‘yung best niyo.”
Moreover, one of her closest friends in MNL48, Kyla expressed that Sayaka will definitely be missed by her fans and co-members. “Isa po siya sa pinakasincere and pure na taong nakilala ko, pag nakaaama niyo po siya magiging full of happiness ‘yung place, bright lang. Mamimiss namin ang ingay mo sa mansion. You’ll always be our happy pill.”
As Sayaka took her final bow to her fans, she assured them that a new version of herself will come back in the future. “Loveski, gusto ko pa po sanang lumaban kasama niyo sa MNL48 journey ko, pero sabi ko nga I want to change the world without changing myself. I want to keep shining and dreaming. I want to challenge muself in a bigger world where I can inspire more and more people. Balang araw, I will come back but updated version of me na. Thank you so much po sa pagmamahal na ibinigay ninyo sa akin, hindi ko makakalimutan lahat ng pinagsamahan natin.”
“Siyempre gusto kong magpasalamat kay chief, coach Angel, coach Mia sa mga advices, sa mga RMs po na kahit ang kulit kulit namin ang haba ng pasensiya. Kay Sir Paulo, Nanay Gio, thank you so much po winelcome niyo ako sa MNL48 family. Girls wag naman kayong sad, thank you. Kahit naman titigil na ako sa MNL48, kahit nasa malayo ako, parang guardian angel niyo naman ako,” she concluded.
To formally end the event, a Cheki or photo-op was held where fans were also given the chance to shake hands with Sayaka after the autograph session for the last time.
